“Today you are You. There is no one alive who is Youer than You.”

- Dr. Seuss

To take professional portraits, the type that you'll love for years to come, requires two things:

  • Technical excellence

  • The space and encouragement to be your truest self

Portrait and family photoshoots are highly personal, and no two shoots are the same. As a photographer, it is a privilege to to be given an insight into someone's world.

My approach for each shoot is relaxed and supportive. It is important that you feel comfortable and happy throughout, as this will shine through your final images.

I work with you and your individual strengths to create images you will love.

My experience and approach ensures that you are showcased in your most beautiful, authentic light.

You might be a musician looking for headshots, a yoga teacher who needs website images. Or perhaps you're a family seeking authentic, natural photography of a special day.

Photoshoots can be scary, especially if you don't like having your photo taken. This is why I'm here to help!

Each session includes a pre-shoot consultation via video call/telephone. This is a chance for us to get to know each other. We'll discuss your reasons for booking a shoot, plus any ideas you have.

We'll discuss clothing options too, so you'll arrive at the shoot cool, calm and collected.

You might be wondering what to expect during the shoot.

Expect your shoot to be fun and challenging. I encourage you to arrive with an open mind. Each shoot is unique to the subject - my goal is to celebrate you as an individual.

Depending on the type of shoot, I'll suggest lots of different poses depending on your strengths and motivation. The session is all about you as an individual. My aim is for you to leave your session feeling excited and confident!

We will agree on a suitable location - this could be your home, your local park or we'll hire a space (extra fee may apply).

Need some inspiration pre-shoot? Some of my favourite portrait photographers are Diane ArbusAnnie Leibovitz and Grace Robertson.

My approach is supportive and down-to-earth. If you're slightly nervous about the shot, I get it! I'm here to support you every step of the way.

For me, the shoot experience is just as important as the final images. If you're relaxed during the shoot, this will show in your images.

Most of all, I love working with people.

Over the years, I've made content for Channel 4, Studio Wayne McGregor, Galen Hooks, Sky and Discovery International. Have a look at some of my personal branding photography and dance and circus photography.

Fan of moving image? Watch my films here.

With a background in Civil Engineering, I am also highly technical and love equipment.

"Grace is an absolute pleasure to shoot with!

Not only is she incredibly professional, but she has a warm and wonderful nature which allows you to settle into the session and collaborate effortlessly.

I spent only a few hours with her but left wanting more! The pictures returned were brilliant and nicely capture the essence of the shoot. Highly recommend."

Michael Feigenbaum

Choreographer and Performer, The Mirror Project

"It is so wonderful finally having a video we can show of us performing together, and especially one that is so artistically shot.

I'm not sure I know anyone who could have captured a lot of the shots the way you did because of your love for dance.

The video looks spectacular and we love what you did! Thanks a million for EVERYTHING! We will be using it whenever we are proposing ourselves to companies for work."

Dance Photographer London Grace Pictures Helen Smith

Helen Smith, Dancer

"My experience of doing a photo shoot with Grace was one of great joy and creativity. Having danced all my life, I had never had any photos taken professionally, and Grace immediately put me at my ease and was never short of patience and understanding for someone for whom this was a new experience.

Grace understands dance and artistry and her photos reflect her understanding of technique and the beauty of a perfect line. It was a day I will never forget, Grace put all her energy and creativity into the shoot and we took pictures against the backdrop of many wonderful (and often unexpected!) London locations."
