Movement is a joy and a privilege.

Dance and motion - in all its forms - should be captured and celebrated. Dance photography encapsulates memories in a uniquely vibrantly way.

All that is important is this one moment in movement. Make the moment important, vital, and worth living. Do not let it slip away unnoticed and unused.”

Martha Graham

With ten years' dance training, I have a thorough understanding of alignment, technique and movement. Whatever your ability or background, you are in safe hands.

My experience ensures that you are showcased in your most beautiful, authentic light.

You might want new social media content or need a live performance photographer for a dance show. Maybe you need unique photographs for an audition or dance portfolio.

You might be wondering what to expect during the shoot.

Expect your shoot to be fun and challenging. I encourage you to arrive with an open mind. Each shoot is unique to the subject - my goal is to celebrate you as an individual.

Depending on the type of shoot, I'll suggest lots of different poses that align with your strengths and motivation. The session is all about you and your individuality. My aim is for you to leave your session feeling excited and confident!

Dance and circus photoshoots can be physically demanding. We will work together to both challenge you whilst keeping you safe. Your well-being is always my primary concern.

If you'd like to brush up on your dance and circus skills before the shoot, I recommend Karen Estabrook's classes at Pineapple Dance Studios, and aerial classes at Flying Fantastic. Both are based in London.

My approach is supportive and down-to-earth. If you're slightly nervous about the shot, I get it! I'm here to support you every step of the way.

For me, the shoot experience is just as important as the final images. If you're relaxed during the shoot, this will show in your images.

Most of all, I love working with people.

Over the years, I've made content for Channel 4, Studio Wayne McGregor, Galen Hooks, Sky and Discovery International. Have a look at some of my personal branding photography and portrait & family photography.

"Grace is an absolute pleasure to shoot with!

Not only is she incredibly professional, but she has a warm and wonderful nature which allows you to settle into the session and collaborate effortlessly.

I spent only a few hours with her but left wanting more! The pictures returned were brilliant and nicely capture the essence of the shoot. Highly recommend."

Choreographer and Performer, The Mirror Project

"It is so wonderful finally having a video we can show of us performing together, and especially one that is so artistically shot.

I'm not sure I know anyone who could have captured a lot of the shots the way you did because of your love for dance.

The video looks spectacular and we love what you did! Thanks a million for EVERYTHING! We will be using it whenever we are proposing ourselves to companies for work."

Dance Photography London Grace Pictures Helen Smith

Helen Smith, Dancer

"My experience of doing a photo shoot with Grace was one of great joy and creativity. Having danced all my life, I had never had any photos taken professionally, and Grace immediately put me at my ease and was never short of patience and understanding for someone for whom this was a new experience.

Grace understands dance and artistry and her photos reflect her understanding of technique and the beauty of a perfect line. It was a day I will never forget, Grace put all her energy and creativity into the shoot and we took pictures against the backdrop of many wonderful (and often unexpected!) London locations."
